Booking a Babysitter or Casual Nanny

1. Call or email us with your booking details. You can do this easily through the online booking form or you may prefer to call us directly. Besides the general booking details we will also need a clear understanding of what your perfect babysitter should be like in terms of experience, age and qualifications.

2. Download the Business Agreement from our website (under 'families') and email it back to us ASAP. The booking cannot go ahead until the Business Agreement is received. You will only need to fill out the business agreement once regardless of how many times you book a babysitter in the future.

3. We post the details of the job out to suitable babysitters. When we have found a babysitter for you we will email you the babysitter's profile. A profile outlines the babysitters' age, experience, qualifications etc

4. If you are happy to proceed you are required at this point to pay the casual booking fee via bank deposit/internet transfer. We will send you an invoice for the total amount owing. The booking fee should be paid within 7days or before the booking takes place, whichever comes first except in the case of emergency and hotel bookings.

5. Your babysitter will call you to introduce herself and confirm the booking details.

6. Your babysitter will arrive on the booking date to care for your children.

Hiring a Permanent Nanny

1. Complete the Registration Form and Business Agreement available online (under 'families'). Once we have received these we will call you to discuss the position and to gain a greater understanding of the type of person that would work well with your family. We need to know what you expect your nanny to be like in terms of experience, age, qualification and most importantly, personality. To ensure a good working relationship it is crucial to find a nanny who has similar ideas, values and beliefs as you and your family.

2. We will send you an invoice for the deposit. This deposit comes off the total placement fee for your nanny. It is not an additional fee.

3. Once we have received the deposit we will email you the profiles of nannies that may be suitable. When you have made your selection/s we will notify the nanny.

4. The nanny you have selected will call you to introduce herself, discuss the position and arrange an interview time. Please take this opportunity to briefly talk to the nanny about the most important aspects of the job.

5. We will email you a nanny kit which includes information on interviewing your nanny, sample contracts, nanny orientation, tax, super etc.

6. Once the interview has taken place we will call both parties (nanny and client) to determine how we should proceed. If you would like to continue searching we will clarify the requirements and begin another search for you.

7. Once you have found the perfect nanny, an invoice with the outstanding amount will be emailed to you. This amount is due within 7 days of the nanny's commencement date.

8. You will receive regular follow up calls from us within the first 6 weeks to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Please feel free to contact us anytime with any questions or concerns you may have regarding you nanny.

9. Should things not work out for you and your nanny within the first 6 weeks we will find a replacement for you at no additional cost.

OUR POLICIES

 · The Screening Process

We spend a great deal of time searching, interviewing, and screening nannies. This, along with our ten years experience, is why you pay us a casual booking fee.

For permanent bookings all nannies are required to take their resume to interviews. It is not however standard procedure for Tiny Delights to email out resumes and copies of documents for casual bookings. This protects the privacy of the nanny/babysitter and the contacts/referees listed on their resume.

We do understand that you have the right to know who is looking after your children and this is the reason we send out profiles outlining the babysitters age and experience.

For casual bookings, resumes can be provided on request with the consent of the nanny. If you would like to see a babysitters resume please let us know.


 · Booking Fees

Booking fees are non refundable.

If a booking is cancelled less than 48hrs from the time the booking was scheduled to commence the booking fee shall be forfeited.

If a booking is cancelled 48hrs or more in advance we will happily apply a credit for your next booking.

At the discretion of Tiny Delights, if the Client cancels a booking twelve (12) hours or less than twelve (12) hours from the booking time the Client may be liable to pay a minimum of 4hrs (times the Applicants hourly rate) to the Applicant, either directly to the Applicant or through Tiny Delights.

If a client has a history of cancellations, Tiny Delights reserves the right to request the booking fee be paid before commencing a search for a nanny/babysitter.
